At the heart of it all is Aloha- not just a word, but a way of life. A love that gives. A spirit that lifts. A calling that says: You matter, You belong and You still have purpose.
Through trusted partnerships with schools, churches, communities, and the Department of Education, we offer programs that:
• Help children, youth, and adults heal, grow, and lead with character.
• Support families with real tools for emotional, spiritual, and relational growth
• Address trauma and mental health through mentorship, movement, and meaningful connection
• Bridge generations with wisdom, culture, and a shared sense of identity and calling
• Provide leadership, education, and life direction rooted in values that strengthen the soul
• Bring faith to life-not through religion, but through love, grace, and Aloha in action
This is ministry in motion. We’re here for the ones who feel forgotten. For the ones ready for more. For the ones who never had someone believe in them. Aloha 1st Athletics exists to remind you that your story isn’t over. It’s just beginning and we’ll walk with you every step of the way.
OUR MISSION
Aloha 1st Athletics is a movement of healing and hope- created to restore lives, rebuild families, and renew purpose across Hawai‘i, from keiki to kupuna.
We see the challenges that so many carry the pressures in life to perform, the pain of being overlooked, the trauma that often goes unspoken. And we believe that through the power of Aloha guided by family values, people can heal, lives be transformed, families can be restored, and generations bringing hope.
This isn’t just about sports. It’s about people.
It’s about helping young boys rediscover their worth. Helping teenage girls stand tall in their identity. Helping families heal from what broke them. Helping adults find hope again. And helping communities rise, together.
DAVID TAUTOFI

David Tautofi is a proud Hawaiʻi native, former UCLA football standout, educator, and community leader devoted to restoring lives and empowering the next generation. Growing up in Hawaiʻi, David experienced firsthand the challenges facing local youth and families. His journey from the islands to the national stage as a UCLA Bruin shaped his passion for using sports as a tool for transformation.
After a brief professional football career, David returned home with a mission: to invest in his community. As head football coach at Kaimuki High School, he revitalized a struggling program, instilling values of discipline, academic excellence, and leadership. His impact has extended beyond the field, helping hundreds of young people find direction, purpose, and hope.
David is also the founder of Aloha 1st Athletics, an initiative that strengthens individuals, families, and communities through sports, education, and mentorship all rooted in the spirit of aloha. With a heart for service and a deep connection to his island home, David continues to walk with people through healing and growth—one life at a time.
